BORN IN THE USA ...

Ralph is a smart man, he knows what a women wants to wear. If he was an Aussie he would be friends with Trent, Stuart and John ..and we would be wearing his clothes.

Who wouldn't want to look like any one of these pictures.? Or all of them on a different day! The shoot was great fun.. Beautiful clothes, amazing props (I need that bike!) and a dream team that made it all too easy.

I tried that Apache sweater on..silk/linen gorgeousness!! and you can bet it will be on my back this winter.

Now I just need the torquoise jewellery and to find me a cowboy!

DIVINE PANIA

She is a rare bird our Miss Pania Rose, a girl of many guises. She embodies natural beauty at its rarest ...as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.

She is all the things a women would want to be if she could re invent herself, an intoxicating mix of all the contradictory things a women is allowed to be. Warm, classy and a little shy, charming, confident, incredibly kind, funny - really funny, emotional (in a great way) and refined. She makes you want to be a better person.

And unlike most women I know she is at her most comfortable and confident (and gorgeous!!) without a scrap of makeup on..

Oh to be Pania..

IF I HAD TO CHOOSE JUST ONE PICTURE ..

There are some days you wish you could have back/have more time/do more makeup/do less makeup..the list goes on and on. 

I chanced years ago, having a couple of hours with Gemma Ward and Steven Chee to do a beauty test just before she went overseas (like all our good Aussie girls do) and hitting the "big time" 

I think we had like 4 hours and Im pretty sure she left the next day. 

It was a lucky break for me, an open door, the start of bigger and brighter things and working with amazing photographers. For Gemma...well, she made the millions.

But for me the image is timeless and represents so much. More than anything my freedom to express myself through what I do..

MISHAPS..

I love my job, some say a little tooo much. What can I say? I love what I do..

My job is especially fun when I get to work with friends, and collaborate to make beautiful pictures. Work and play. What can be better?

Well, thinking about it throw in an exotic location and its pretty damn good.

Our exotic location only stemmed as far as Alexandria for this shoot, and our location a studio, but we had fun. And Pania was in town...always fun. And we did do some beautiful pictures..

The only disappointment was when the issue came out this month and someone else's name was in the credits for makeup.....

 A very hot, blustery high summers day in Sydney on one of our beautiful harbour beaches... 

 Just a girl, a photographer and me hoping to make some beautiful pictures of the untameable Tallulah..

BELLE DE JOUR

The hardest part of doing a fashion shoot is waiting for it to come out..especially when you KNOW its a great one. 

You want to share it with the world, with your friends and your peers but it remains locked away in your mind or tucked away in your computer waiting waiting...and they can really make us wait!

 

So Im really happy to share my new favourite shoot that has just come out this month featuring the beautiful Pania Rose. 

OUT TAKES

Sometimes on a shoot there is a special moment, and for me it can be as simple as an out take at the end of the day when I convince everyone that we absolutely cannot leave unless we do an extra beauty shot..one last picture pretty pleeeeaaasse. 

So the model throws on her own clothes, the assistants are packing up, Im throwing more makeup on the model and the photographer does a few extra frames..

..and sheer magic happens.
